Santa

We had our ward Christmas activity last Saturday and guess who came! Santa! So all the kids line up to see him and when it's my dear sweet Oliver's turn this is what he does -

The Eck's Mini Family Session ~ Moses Lake Family Portraits

Shew! This was the FASTEST session I've ever done. This last weekend my family came to share Kevin's baptism and Max's blessing day with us. You know how it is when family gets together - everyone sits around and talks until there's no time left and everyone has to leave! :) Sunday morning after church we were sitting around eating pumpkin pie and I noticed that Kayte and Paige both had red shirts on. Then I see Chad with a black shirt. I asked Kayte what color of shirt Rory had on and lo and behold it was black too! I felt like a dummy as I realized they were ready for pictures and I was oblivious!!

So we ran out to a nearby field and took pictures as fast as we could go since they still had to drive home to Oregon that day. I couldn't believe how fast 45 minutes flew by. I'm hoping that they like at least one since the goal was a Christmas card pic for this year. :) Next time we're going to find a beautiful spot and spend a couple of hours...

Here's their fun video ~

Nitasha's Senior Session |Senior Portrait Photography

It's a good thing it was cold when we did Nitasha's senior portraits because she was smokin'! :) I had so much fun with Natasha and her friend Emeli! We were accosted by a strange little man trying to convince us we needed to get our nails done and we found a secret message on the ground... Really. We did! Aside from the obvious distractions we managed to make some great images for Natasha to keep. She'll be able to show her kid's and grandkid's that she hasn't changed at all since her senior year of high school. :)

Check out her slideshow and a few of my favorites...

Jordan's Senior Session | Moses Lake Senior Portraits

Wow! It seems like forever since I did Jordan's senior session, but it's only been a week and a half. :) Life is screaming by and I'm just trying to hold on! Woo hoo!

Anyway, I had a blast with Jordan. We met downtown and used all the good spots for photos. We wandered by a law office that had their storage unit open and there were boxes everywhere with client's names on the outside. That was interesting. I tried to get Jordan to take one with a very, very infamous name scribbled on it, but he was too honest. And his mom was there. And I really wouldn't have let him anyway. :) But it was a little weird.

After that we broke into the football stadium to have some fun with his jersey! I was for sure the cops were going to chase me down and confiscate my memory cards or something. Hehehe... Thank you Jordan for being such a good guy to work with!

Comments for Cans!

It's that time of year again - I love the holidays! They remind me of who I am, why I am here and what I should be doing. They also remind me of how very blessed I am.

I want to share my blessings with others soooooo...

From today until December 15th I will be counting how many comments are made on my blog. For each comment I will donate a can of food to the food bank. It doesn't matter which post you comment on so let's get going! I want to have to use my husband's trailor to haul all of the cans to the food bank! Please tell your friends about it and spread the word - it's time to be a blessing for someone else. I'm so excited!

Laura and Aaron | Moses Lake Engagement Photography

moses lake engagement photography

Wow! I am so glad that Laura and Aaron were on fire because otherwise we would have frozen to death! I have to admit they were better than I was - I kept my coat on the whole time. :) We met out at the old state park this last Saturday morning to freeze our hineys off - I mean take some luscious photos to document their engagement. So much fun!

Though it was really, really cold the weather was gorgeous. Who can say sun flare?? Yummy! Anyway, these two love birds are getting married in February and I can't wait to work with them again because they seriously rocked!

Oh, and just as a little side note I think Aaron is the lucky one. :) Hehehe... thanks for being such troopers you two! I'll talk to you soon!

For the Mommas...

Marian Wright Edelman, American Activist, Families in Peril

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily difference we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Loved this quote! There are times when a mom's life seems tedious. Laundry is never ending, messes appear out of nowhere (and usually in the same spot you just cleaned 5 minutes ago), something is always lost, etc.

I like to remember that I'm serving my family and that the little things I do for them are what matter the most. Besides - how can you not laugh and love them when in the five minutes you took to go to the bathroom they have dumped a bag of flour on the floor, greased up your L series lens, poured white fingernail polish all over the counter and your camera and let the muddy dog in the house??? Hehehehehehe!!!!
